PRP / PRF

Harness your body's own growth factors for natural skin rejuvenation

What Is PRP / PRF?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) are regenerative treatments derived from your own blood. A small sample is drawn and centrifuged to concentrate the growth factors and platelets that naturally drive healing and collagen production. The resulting serum is then injected or applied to the skin to trigger rejuvenation from within.

PRF is the next evolution of PRP — it processes blood at a lower spin speed to capture more platelets, growth factors, and leukocytes, and forms a fibrin gel matrix that releases growth factors more slowly over time for prolonged regenerative effects.

PRP vs. PRF

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

A liquid concentrate of platelets and growth factors. Excellent for facial skin rejuvenation, under-eye hollows, hair restoration, and combining with microneedling. Results develop over 4–6 weeks.

PRF / EZ Gel PRF

A more advanced fibrin matrix that acts as a natural biofiller. When warmed and cooled, PRF forms a gel (EZ Gel) that can be injected like a filler to add volume and stimulate collagen simultaneously — a truly biologic approach to facial rejuvenation.

Treatment Areas & Uses

  • Under-eye hollows and dark circles (tear trough)
  • Facial skin rejuvenation (tone, texture, luminosity)
  • Fine lines and mild volume loss
  • Scalp injections for hair loss
  • Combined with microneedling for enhanced results
  • Post-procedure healing acceleration

What to Expect

1
Blood Draw

A small amount of your blood (typically 10–20 mL) is drawn from the arm, just like a routine lab test.

2
Centrifugation

The sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich fraction. For PRF/EZ Gel, a second centrifuge step creates a fibrin matrix.

3
Treatment

The PRP or PRF is injected into the targeted areas. The entire appointment takes 45–75 minutes. Results develop gradually over 4–8 weeks as collagen remodeling occurs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Because PRP and PRF use your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction. The treatment is biocompatible and has been used in medicine for decades for wound healing and tissue regeneration.

Results appear gradually as your body produces new collagen. Most patients notice improvements starting at 4 weeks, with optimal results at 3 months. A series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended.

Mild swelling, redness, and bruising at injection sites are common and typically resolve within 3–5 days. Most patients return to normal activities the same day or next day.

PRP and PRF pair exceptionally well with microneedling, laser treatments, and as a complement to filler treatments. Dr. Nam will recommend the optimal protocol for your goals.
